The winter moth Operophtera brumata is an abundant species in Europe and the Near East and a famous study organism for assessing insect population dynamics. It is one of the few lepidopterans of temperate regions that are active in late autumn and early winter. Adults use endothermy to move in these low temperatures. The female of this species is practically wingless and cannot fly, but the male has full wings and flies strongly. After the initial frosts of late fall, females emerge from their pupa, walk to and climb trees to lay, on average, about 100 eggs. On its surface we can see the silhouette of the Operophtera moth and its characteristic heart-shaped figure measuring 15mm high and 17.6mm wide. Encased in a cluster of brilliant-cut white zircons, they create their own shine and give a vintage effect. Its harmonious, soft and perfect curves seek to dress any woman and make her look her way of feeling elegant.
