She was born in Mexico City, daughter of political refugees of Kenyan origin. Following the tradition in her country of origin of naming her children after a relevant event, her parents gave her a Mexican name. Nyong'o returned to Kenya when she was one year old. At the age of sixteen, Nyong'o returned to Mexico to learn Spanish, lived in Taxco, and finished her studies in the United States, graduating in theater studies. She won the Oscar for Best Supporting Actress for 12 Years a Slave, among other international awards. Our headdress is made in a series of noble and hypoallergenic metals plus an 18kt yellow gold plating, composed of natural pearls and crystals spun around it has been handmade in our workshop. Each headdress is unique as the stones are natural and may vary slightly in size, shape and color to the one in the photo. There is only one model available. This jewel cannot be exchanged.

The product must be sent within 5 days of the request. Ring size exchanges for online orders can also be made in APODEMIA stores, except El Corte Inglés locations.
