Together with DEBRA, the Spanish Butterfly Skin Association (part of DEBRA International), we want to raise awareness about Butterfly Skin disease and do our part to help families feel supported during this initial period of uncertainty, helping the foundation gain more resources to reach them.

Imagine being afraid of hurting your baby with a hug. Imagine that everyday actions like walking or eating could cause injuries.

Butterfly Skin is a rare, genetic, and currently incurable disease that causes extremely fragile skin. Lacking the protein that makes skin resistant to rubbing and bruising, people with the condition must bandage their bodies daily to protect wounds caused by even the slightest touch.

Butterfly Skin bursts into the lives of families without warning, and is only detected after giving birth.

Aware of the grief, uncertainty, and desolation inherent in these early moments, DEBRA is promoting the "Born with Butterfly Skin" project. This initiative aims to inform, educate, and provide care to both families and professionals within the National Health System. To this end, its nursing, psychology, and social work teams travel to any location in Spain within a maximum of 48 hours, ensuring that no family faces this new and difficult journey alone.

Steps to follow to use our temporary tattoos;

1. The skin must be completely clean and dry.
2. Remove the transparent protection.
3. Place the side with the tattoo against your skin.
4. Wet the tattoo with a sponge soaked in water, pressing carefully.
5. Wait until the paper slides over the skin.
NOTE: Do not apply to sensitive skin or near the eyes. To remove the tattoo, you must
Soak the tattoo with body oil, cream, or alcohol; wait 20 seconds and
then rub with a cotton ball.
Temporary tattoos last about 7 days, depending on how much rubbing they receive.
