Tura Mali, as the "stone mixed with vibrant colors" is called in Sinhala. The Sinhalese, also known as the Hela of the island of Sri Lanka are today the descendants of the settlers who once came to the island in 543 BC from Sinhapura in India, and all of them commanded by Prince Vijaya. The effect called today "watermelon" because of its resemblance to the fruit with the same name, gives name to a gemstone that has the properties of awakening or attracting love.
