Apodemia is an unusual name that arouses curiosity from the first time you hear it. It is a butterfly with a traveling and fighting spirit that is characterized by the fact that it makes an annual migration from Brazil to Canada.

During the trip, due to the great effort it must make, the original butterfly loses its life after a few days, so during that time it transmits its knowledge to its offspring, who will be in charge of completing the path. It is a life lesson and a heritage that is passed down generation after generation.

And from this history of improvement, the Apodemia brand took its values, which is characterized by instilling in all the people involved in the project audacity, honesty, creation of ties with the community, evolution, commitment to youth, organic growth and a great international vocation.

The origin of Apodemia arises from Jimena's own initiative who, despite having studied Advertising and PR, was always very interested in design. Since she was little she observed how her mother, an interior designer, and her father, a sculptor, promoted a creativity that was increasing.

Her first piece consisted of a headdress made with scraps of some of the fabrics her mother used, which she completed with her father's sculpture material. This first piece inspired by a butterfly encouraged him to continue, participating in various initiatives, including EGO Cibeles, the catwalk for young designers.
